Dermatology | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Our team of providers specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions while emphasizing prevention, education, and early detection of skin cancer.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and skin examinations
Diagnose and treat a variety of skin, hair, and nail conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, and other dermatologic disorders
Conduct skin cancer screenings and identify suspicious lesions requiring further evaluation or treatment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and topical therapies
Perform dermatologic procedures within scope of practice, including biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and wound care
Educate patients regarding skin health, disease prevention, treatment options, and post-procedure care
Review pathology reports, laboratory results, and diagnostic findings to determine appropriate treatment plans
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, including ICD-10 and CPT coding
Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality standards
Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary care teams as needed
Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing medical education (CME) requirements
Adhere to all federal, state, and organizational regulations
Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellence in patient care

QualificationsEducation & Experience

Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Minimum of one (1) year of Dermatology Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
Experience performing dermatologic assessments and procedures preferred
Experience in medical, surgical, or cosmetic dermatology is a plus

Licenses & Certifications

Active State APRN License
National Board Certification (ANCC, AANP, or applicable)
Current DEA Registration
Current BLS Certification

Required Skills & AbilitiesClinical & Analytical Skills

Strong knowledge of dermatologic conditions, treatments, and procedures
Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage skin diseases effectively
Knowledge of skin cancer detection and treatment protocols
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Communication Skills

Excellent patient education and counseling skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare teams
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities

Technical Skills

Proficiency in EMR systems and patient documentation
Experience with dermatology-specific documentation and coding practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Work Environment

Fast-paced, patient-focused dermatology clinic
Frequent patient interaction and procedural care
Moderate noise level

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and perform patient care activities throughout the day
Ability to conduct detailed skin examinations and minor procedures
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
