Job Title: CNC Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our production team. The

CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to

produce precision parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience in a manufacturing or

fabrication environment, and a commitment to producing high-quality work safely and

efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

 Set up and operate CNC machines (routers, mills, or similar equipment) to produce

precision parts

 Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining

requirements

 Load raw materials and secure fixtures, ensuring proper machine setup

 Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and

accuracy

 Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and routine inspections

 Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

 Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or machine malfunctions

 Maintain accurate production records and job tracking documentation

 Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

 Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines

Qualifications

 Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a manufacturing/fabrication environment

 Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

 Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

 Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

 Basic understanding of CNC programming is a plus (but not required, depending on

level)

 Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods as required

 Strong problem-solving skills and reliability in a production setting

Preferred Qualifications

 Experience with CNC routers, mills, or multi-axis machines

 Familiarity with CAD/CAM software

 Experience in sign fabrication, woodworking, plastics, or metal fabrication environments

 Forklift certification or material handling experience

Work Environment

 Manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and materials

 Requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting of materials

 Fast-paced production environment with emphasis on quality and efficiency
