Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook to oversee our culinary team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. This role is essential for ensuring high standards of food quality and safety while providing exceptional dining experiences.

This position is Full Time PM shift (11:30 AM-7:30 PM) with every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the dietary department, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to food safety standards.
Oversee meal preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high-quality culinary standards.
Plan and develop menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while incorporating fine dining elements.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on best practices in food handling, preparation, and presentation.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering services for events and special occasions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any dietary concerns or requests.

Qualifications

Proven experience in the food service industry, particularly in dietary or culinary roles.
Strong background in menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining experiences.
Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a similar position is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while leading by example.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food service operations.
