Are you the person who walks into a beautiful home, active construction site, or company event and immediately sees five stories worth telling?

Do you love meeting people, getting them comfortable on camera, spotting trends before everyone else, and turning ideas into content that gets attention?

Custom One is looking for a high-energy, creative, and entrepreneurial Social Media Manager + Content Creator to help shape and grow the social presence of our family of brands.

This isn't a traditional social media coordinator position—and we're not looking for someone who wants to sit behind a computer waiting for a content calendar.

We're looking for someone who will get out into the business, meet people, find the stories, generate ideas, experiment, create, and make things happen.

You'll have the opportunity to influence how our brands show up across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube while creating content that builds awareness, engagement, and ultimately generates business.

What You'll Own

You'll take the lead on bringing the Custom One brands to life through social media and visual storytelling.

You'll:

Own and help shape our organic social strategy across the Custom One family of brands.
Create compelling short- and long-form video showcasing luxury homes, renovations, exterior projects, landscaping, craftsmanship, design, and the people behind the work.
Get out from behind the desk and regularly visit homes, construction sites, design studios, client projects, and company events throughout the Twin Cities.
Build relationships with homeowners, designers, project managers, craftspeople, leadership, and employees—and turn their expertise and personalities into engaging content.
Proactively find stories and content opportunities rather than waiting for someone to assign them.
Interview homeowners and employees and help people feel natural and confident on camera.
Shoot and edit high-quality video and photography using professional cameras, iPhones, stabilization, audio equipment, and other production tools.
Stay ahead of social trends, emerging formats, platform changes, and new creative opportunities.
Develop campaign concepts and content themes that support brand and business objectives.
Experiment with new ideas, learn quickly from what works, and continuously evolve the strategy.
Partner with leadership and Marketing to identify opportunities for audience growth, engagement, and lead generation.
Collaborate with Interior Design, Construction, Renovation, Exteriors, Landscaping, and other teams to capture stories as they happen.
Manage influencer and partnership opportunities that can expand the reach of our brands.
Use performance data to understand what's working and turn those insights into better content.

Proactive. You don't need someone handing you a daily list. You recognize opportunities, pursue them, and keep things moving.

Fast-paced and adaptable. You're comfortable juggling shoots, edits, interviews, social trends, projects, and changing priorities. When an unexpected content opportunity appears, you're ready to move.

Persuasive and engaging. You know great content often starts before the camera turns on. You can get people excited about participating and bring energy that helps others loosen up and tell their stories.

Optimistic and energetic. You naturally bring enthusiasm to the people around you and enjoy being an ambassador for the brands you're representing.

Results-focused. Creativity matters, but so do outcomes. You want to know whether the audience is growing, people are engaging, and the content is helping build the business.

What You'll Create

Your work could take you from:

Morning: filming the progress of a luxury custom home.

Midday: interviewing an interior designer about an emerging design trend.

Afternoon: capturing a homeowner's renovation reveal.

Tomorrow: jumping on a social trend that didn't exist when you planned your week.

One day might involve polished brand storytelling; another might require recognizing an authentic moment, pulling out your phone, and capturing it before the opportunity disappears.

That's the point.

We want someone who enjoys variety, people, creativity, and momentum.

What We're Looking ForRequired

3+ years creating social content for brands
Proven ability to grow social media audiences organically
Strong short-form and long-form video creation skills
Exceptional videography and strong video-editing capabilities
Professional photography experience
Confidence interviewing and directing people on camera
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube
Understanding of social algorithms, trends, and audience behavior
Experience using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, After Effects, Canva, Lightroom, or similar platforms
Experience leveraging AI for storyboarding, scripting, ideation, or content development
Ability to independently move multiple creative projects from idea to execution

Preferred

Experience with luxury, lifestyle, architecture, interior design, construction, or real estate brands
DJI drone experience and/or drone pilot certification
Motion graphics experience
Influencer marketing experience
Paid social knowledge, including Meta Business Suite
Adobe Creative Suite proficiency

Portfolio Requirements
