Job Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered services. This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise in various medical settings will be valued and utilized to promote health, comfort, and dignity for diverse patient populations.

Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being
Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring safety and comfort through tailored memory care techniques
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other manual handling tools to safely transfer patients while adhering to safe lifting practices
Observe and report changes in patient conditions promptly to nursing staff
Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques

Requirements

Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program with current Kansas licensure
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate medical documentation and patient service records
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving physical strength while maintaining patient safety standards
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service
