Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components using powder coating equipment and processes. This position ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules, and customer specifications while following all safety procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare materials for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting surfaces.
Operate powder coating equipment and spray guns to apply coatings evenly and accurately.
Load and unload parts onto racks and conveyors.
Monitor curing ovens and verify proper curing temperatures and times.
Inspect coated parts for thickness, appearance, color consistency, and defects.
Perform touch-up work and rework as required.
Maintain powder coating equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition.
Follow production schedules and prioritize work to meet delivery deadlines.
Complete quality inspections and production documentation as required.
Adhere to all company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with material handling and other production tasks as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous powder coating, painting, finishing, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read work orders and production instructions.
Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and other required PPE.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, heat, and noise.

Safety Requirements

Follow all OSHA and company safety standards.
Properly use and maintain required PPE.
Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Report unsafe conditions and incidents promptly.

Schedule

Full-time
Overtime as required to meet production demands

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
