About Soulful Shifters Moving
Soulful Shifters Moving LLC is a veteran-owned moving labor company serving the Concord --> Charlotte metropolitan area and surrounding communities.
We provide professional residential moving labor, including loading, unloading, packing assistance, furniture protection, furniture assembly/disassembly, and related moving services.
Our standard is simple: professional moving performed with care, respect, accountability, and attention to detail.
As we expand our crews, we are currently seeking experienced professional movers who can step into the field with an existing understanding of residential moving techniques.

This is NOT an entry-level moving position.
Applicants must have previous paid professional residential or commercial moving experience.
Warehouse, delivery, construction, landscaping, retail stocking, or general labor experience alone does not meet the experience requirement for this position.
We will consider transferable experience for other opportunities, but this particular opening is specifically for experienced movers.
Responsibilities
As a Soulful Shifters Mover, you will be expected to:
- Load and unload moving trucks, rental trucks, PODS, trailers, and storage containers
- Safely handle couches, dressers, mattresses, tables, televisions, appliances, boxes, and other household belongings
- Properly wrap and protect furniture using moving blankets, stretch wrap, and other protective materials
- Protect customers' floors, walls, doors, stairways, and other property throughout the move
- Safely navigate stairs, elevators, narrow hallways, tight doorways, and other challenging spaces
- Use furniture dollies, appliance hand trucks, moving straps, hand trucks, and other moving equipment
- Assist with furniture assembly and disassembly when required
- Properly position and secure furniture and household goods during loading
- Work efficiently with other movers and follow Crew Lead instructions
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Follow all company safety and property-protection procedures
- Immediately report damage, safety concerns, customer issues, or other incidents to the Crew Lead
- Arrive on time and prepared for every assignment you accept
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of paid professional residential or commercial moving experience
- Previous employment or contract experience with a professional moving company, moving service, or established moving operation
- Experience loading and unloading household goods from moving trucks
- Experience safely handling household furniture
- Knowledge of basic furniture wrapping and protection techniques
- Familiarity with proper team-lifting techniques
- Ability to safely lift and carry 75+ pounds repeatedly, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for several hours
- Comfortable working on stairs and in confined spaces
- Reliable transportation to assigned job locations
- Smartphone with reliable text and email access
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work scheduled mornings and weekends when required
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
Strongly Preferred Experience
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Residential household moving
- Apartment and high-rise moving
- Commercial moving
- Local and/or long-distance moving
- Furniture wrapping and protection
- Truck loading and load planning
- Furniture disassembly and reassembly
- Appliance moving
- Moving straps and shoulder lifting systems
- Furniture dollies and appliance hand trucks
- Specialty or high-value furniture handling
- Customer-facing moving services
- Training or supervising other movers
- Lead Mover or Crew Chief responsibilities
Experienced Lead Movers and Crew Chiefs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Moving jobs depend on complete crews.
Once you accept a scheduled Soulful Shifters assignment, you are expected to honor that commitment.
Applicants who currently work for another moving company, delivery service, gig platform, or employer are welcome to apply; however, outside work cannot interfere with Soulful Shifters assignments you have already accepted.
Compensation
$18.00–$25.00 per hour + customer tips

- Verified professional moving experience
- Demonstrated moving knowledge
- Equipment proficiency
- Customer-service ability
- Leadership experience
- Performance during the hiring and skills-evaluation process
Growth opportunities may include:
Experienced Mover → Lead Mover → Crew Chief
Additional opportunities may become available as Soulful Shifters expands its crews and service territory.
