Company Overview:
Earth Right is a leading organization dedicated to improving the energy performance, safety, and efficiency of residential homes. We are committed to reducing utility costs for our clients while promoting overall health and safety through expert weatherization and energy audit services.

Job Summary:
The Energy Auditor/Weatherization Specialist is responsible for improving the energy performance and safety of residential homes. This involves conducting comprehensive diagnostic tests, such as blower door and combustion analysis, to identify areas of energy loss and potential health hazards. The Specialist then implements physical energy-saving measures, including air sealing and insulation installation, to reduce utility costs, maximize energy efficiency, and ensure the client's overall health and safety.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

Diagnostic Testing & Assessment:
Conduct initial home energy audits following program standards.
Perform blower door tests to measure air leakage and identify primary air sealing targets.
Utilize combustion analysis equipment and pressure monitoring tools to ensure the safety and proper function of combustion appliances (furnaces, water heaters).
Perform thermal imaging as needed to identify insulation voids and air infiltration paths.
Installation & Air Sealing:
Install air sealing measures including caulking, weatherstripping, and sealing penetrations in attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
Health & Safety:
Ensure the safe and proper operation of all combustion appliances post-weatherization.
Follow all OSHA and program-specific safety protocols, including Lead-Safe Weatherization practices.
Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
Documentation & Customer Service:
Accurately record and document all work performed, materials used, and test results in required program forms and software.
Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners about the scope of work, expected outcomes, and operation of installed measures.
Maintain inventory of tools and materials.

Qualifications & Requirements:

A. Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience in construction, general labor, or energy efficiency.
Knowledge of basic construction practices and terminology.
Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

B. Preferred Certifications (Highly Valued)

BPI (Building Performance Institute) Certification (e.g., BPI Energy Auditor, BPI Retrofit Installer).
OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Safety Card.
Lead-Safe Renovation (RRP) Certification.

C. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical labor.
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding) and in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces, basements) in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
