Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Product Manager (PM) at GigaParts is responsible for leading a strategic portfolio of brands by building and maintaining robust supplier relationships across both current and emerging growth categories. Your mission is to ensure that GigaParts offers a comprehensive, up-to-date product assortment that delivers exceptional value to our customers.

This role requires a high-energy professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics. You will be expected to leverage data-driven insights to develop merchandising strategies that drive growth and maximize inventory performance.

Core Responsibilities

Brand Ownership: Own the forecasting, budgeting, and overall financial performance for all assigned brands.
Strategic Sourcing: Source, onboard, and launch new suppliers in approved categories; ensure the product mix across vendors delivers the right assortment and price points.
Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen existing supplier relationships; monitor product quality, packaging, shipping costs, and fulfillment reliability.
Promotional Coordination: Secure and coordinate supplier-funded promotions, routing them through appropriate marketing channels to drive velocity.
Market Innovation: Continuously identify innovative ways to deliver value and enhance the customer experience.

Essential Functions & Expectations

1. Merchandising Strategy & Performance

Analyze top and bottom sellers (by category, price point, and seasonality) to optimize sales performance.
Assess assortment gaps and implement external partnerships to build a best-in-class product catalog.
Monitor and address slow-moving inventory to maintain healthy stock turns.
Identify emerging trends quickly and source products from multiple vendors to ensure supply chain agility.

2. Vendor Negotiation & Partnership

Develop joint business plans and strengthen strategic vendor partnerships.
Negotiate programs that grow multi-category sales, securing favorable pricing, allowances, and terms.
Manage program details, costs, and contract terms with a focus on resolving production or supply issues proactively.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with marketing, e-commerce, and field managers to align merchandising initiatives across the business.
Ensure that the product assortment meets the specific needs of both our physical stores and online customers.

Position Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Purchasing/Merchandising experience.
Education: BS/BA degree required.
Track Record: Proven success in sales, margin, and inventory management within a high-growth, fast-paced big-box or hardlines specialty retail environment.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead merchandising initiatives at a national level with a collaborative, "win-win" approach.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in research and data analysis (market trends, product specs, vendor/inventory performance).
Preferred Background: Experience driving sales across brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, and print/catalog channels is highly preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
