Full Job Description

RUNNER/FILE CLERK - Part-Time

Local law firm seeking a dependable and energetic Runner/File Clerk to join our team. We are looking for someone who is organized, hard-working, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, self-starter, and willing to help wherever needed.

SCHEDULE:

This is a part-time position working three full days per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The specific three workdays will be determined based on office needs and candidate availability. No weekends or holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other items to clients, courthouses, and other locations as assigned
Stock paper in copiers and maintain supplies in copy rooms
Answer rollover calls and assist with answering phones
Perform file management duties, including copying, scanning, filing, and data entry
Assist with moving furniture, equipment, boxes, and shifting files in filing cabinets as needed
Deliver outgoing mail to the post office daily
Receive, shelve, and distribute incoming office supplies
Perform end-of-day cleaning and general office maintenance duties
Shop for office supplies and other items as needed
Assist attorneys and staff with general office tasks
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record and reliable transportation
Strong organizational skills and ability to keep track of legal documents and assignments
Basic typing and computer skills
Previous experience in an office or related position is helpful but not required
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with attorneys, staff, clients, and the public
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs
Must be able to pass a background check

Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Three full weekdays per week, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
