Project Estimator – Randy Frei Construction / BBR Excavation

About Us

Randy Frei Construction & BBR Excavation are trusted concrete & excavation companies dedicated to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our growing team. If you have a strong background in construction estimating and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Position Summary

The Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and/or commercial construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive bids and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

- Review plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
- Develop project budgets and bid proposals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers during preconstruction and project startup.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of construction estimating experience preferred.
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction methods.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Plan Swift & Microsoft Office

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with construction management.
- Understanding of local building codes and permitting requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Starting wage is negotiable and will be determined by experience
