Full Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting sales growth, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation through proactive customer engagement, account management, and sales support activities. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers, dealers, distributors, OEM partners, and other business accounts, while maintaining a thorough understanding of CMC Triggers | San Tan Tactical | SOUSA Optics products, programs, policies, and operational capabilities.

The Inside Sales Representative manages inbound sales inquiries, develops customer relationships, processes orders, identifies sales opportunities, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience from quote to fulfillment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, dealers, distributors, and business partners.
Identify opportunities to increase sales through cross-selling, upselling, and new product introductions.
Follow up on quotes, leads, and customer requests to drive revenue growth.
Achieve individual and team sales objectives and performance goals.
Support dealer and distributor account development initiatives.
Conduct cold calls and customer outreach as needed to generate leads and drive engagement.
Create, populate, and submit customer product and sales templates with speed and precision.
Draft and submit sales offers and promotional campaign proposals to third-party platforms.
Maintain and update company brand pages across key customer portals to ensure product accuracy and brand consistency.

Customer Relationship Management

Serve as a primary point of contact for customer accounts.
Build strong relationships through responsive communication and professional service.
Provide product recommendations and technical information within established guidelines.
Maintain accurate account records and customer interactions within the company's CRM system.
Support customer retention and satisfaction initiatives.

Order Management & Sales Support

Prepare and process quotes, sales orders, and customer requests.
Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving and Production to provide order status updates.
Assist customers with order tracking, availability, lead times, and product information.
Ensure order accuracy and proper documentation.
Assist in resolving order discrepancies and fulfillment issues.
Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to field sales representatives and external rep groups.

CRM & Data Integrity

Maintain accurate customer, dealer, distributor, and partner account information.
Ensure customer records, contacts, and sales activities are properly documented.
Support CRM data quality initiatives and reporting requirements.
Update account information, opportunities, and sales activities in a timely manner.

Product Knowledge & Technical Support

Develop and maintain working knowledge of CMC Triggers | San Tan Tactical | SOUSA Optics products and applications.
Understand product features, benefits, compatibility, and installation requirements.
Assist with basic technical inquiries and escalate advanced questions as appropriate.
Stay informed on new product releases and enhancements.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

Provide professional support regarding:

Product availability
Order status
Shipping inquiries
Returns and warranty processes
General account questions
Coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve customer concerns.
Maintain a positive and solutions-oriented approach to customer interactions.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Maintain records of sales activities and customer communications.
Assist with sales forecasting and pipeline management activities.
Support KPI tracking and reporting efforts.
Provide market and customer feedback to leadership.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or related roles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advance skills in Microsoft Excel.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be legally eligible to possess, handle, and work in proximity to firearms, firearm components, and NFA-regulated products in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Experience in manufacturing, firearms, sporting goods, defense, or industrial distribution environments.
Experience utilizing CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
Understanding of dealer, distributor, OEM, and distributor sales channels.
Familiarity with ERP systems and order management processes.

Compliance & Employment Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be eligible to work within an FFL and NFA-regulated environment.
Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Successful completion of applicable background screening may be required.

Work Environment

Primarily office-based environment.
Frequent use of computers, telephones, CRM systems, and ERP platforms.
Occasional interaction with manufacturing and warehouse operations.
Ability to travel for key industry events, client meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Occasional lifting of product samples or materials up to 25 pounds.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
