Position Summary
MedRock Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist in Charge) to lead our pharmacy operations in Colleyville, Texas.
This role goes beyond clinical oversight and regulatory compliance. As Pharmacy Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, drive operational excellence, and ensure prescriptions are entered, compounded, verified, and shipped the same day whenever possible.
You'll oversee all pharmacy departments—including Data Entry, Customer Service, Laboratory Operations, and Shipping—while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
This position reports directly to the Director of Operations, with a dotted-line relationship to the Owner, and plays a key leadership role in MedRock's continued growth.
What You'll DoLead Pharmacy Operations
- Oversee all daily pharmacy operations across Data Entry, Customer Service, Lab, Verification, and Shipping
- Ensure prescriptions are compounded, verified, and shipped with same-day turnaround whenever possible
- Design, implement, and continuously improve workflows that support efficient, high-quality operations
- Establish daily and weekly production goals while monitoring key performance indicators
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement real-time operational improvements
- Optimize staffing levels to support production goals and operational efficiency
- Manage inventory control systems and optimize stock levels
- Deliver patient counseling while maintaining exceptional pharmaceutical care
- Execute operational initiatives in partnership with the Director of Operations
- Collaborate with leadership to implement new technology, automation, and process improvements
Regulatory Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, USP, and accreditation standards
- Maintain continuous audit readiness and lead inspection preparation
- Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) initiatives
- Oversee documentation of all pharmacy and clinical procedures
- Identify quality improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Stay current on pharmacy regulations and industry best practices
Clinical Leadership
- Serve as the pharmacy's clinical and regulatory subject matter expert
- Promote excellence in compounding, verification, and dispensing practices
- Support safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and patient safety
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on accountability and operational excellence
- Create staff schedules that maximize productivity and patient service
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing development
- Implement training programs that improve productivity, compliance, and quality
- Build an engaged team focused on achieving MedRock's operational goals
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor daily prescription throughput and shipping turnaround metrics
- Report operational performance, quality indicators, and improvement initiatives
- Partner with leadership to analyze trends and implement performance improvements
- Champion MedRock's operational objective of "Same-Day Out" throughout the organization
Qualifications Required
- Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist license
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm)
- Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy practice experience
- Previous pharmacy management or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, workflow management, and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading multidisciplinary pharmacy teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement
Preferred
- Experience in compounding pharmacy
- Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>
- Experience with pharmacy accreditation and regulatory inspections
- Dermatology or specialty pharmacy experience
- Experience implementing operational improvements and automation initiatives
- Willingness to obtain additional state pharmacist licenses as MedRock continues to grow

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $145,000–$165,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and leadership background.
Performance Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.
