Title: Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant

Time Requirement: Part-Time (approximately 20–25 hours per week)

Company & Culture:

McVay HR is hiring a part time Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant for Dutro Co. located in Logan, UT. Dutro Co. is a metal fabrication business best known for manufacturing hand trucks, hand carts, and dollies, but the company also runs a custom fabrication arm, designing, engineering, and producing heavy-duty metal products for other businesses. The company values hard work, dependability, and a team mentality.

Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to help with our day-to-day accounting needs. This is a part-time, hands-on position working closely with our Financial Controller. The ideal person will have previous bookkeeping experience and be comfortable handling routine accounting tasks independently. Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

The right person will be willing to learn our systems and processes and become a dependable part of our accounting team. Being a self-starter is an important part of the role.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

Enter and process vendor invoices
Prepare customer invoices and maintain customer accounts
Process customer payments and deposits
Process vendor payments and checks
Assist with customer collections
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end accounting tasks
Maintain accurate accounting records and files
Assist with accounting reports and other bookkeeping tasks
Help with purchase orders, receiving, and matching invoices
Assist with inventory-related accounting
Learn and use our ERP and accounting systems
Provide backup support for other accounting duties as needed

Qualifications:

Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
Experience with AP and AR
Comfortable working with invoices, payments, and reconciliations
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Dependable and organized
Able to work independently
Good communication skills
Manufacturing or inventory experience is a plus
Experience with an ERP/accounting system is a plus
Global Shop Solutions experience is a plus, but not required
Mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
