Full Job Description

Thomas Cattle Company is a family ranch and premium beef business based in Oreana, Idaho. We raise all-natural Angus beef and sell it direct to families and wholesale partners who care about where their food comes from. We're a lean, fast-moving operation and we're growing.

We're looking for an Office Manager who's wired the same way. Someone who loves agriculture, thrives when things move fast, and can't leave a broken process alone. If you get real satisfaction from building systems that work, and you'd rather be 45 minutes south of Nampa than anywhere near a downtown parking garage, keep reading.

What You'll Own

You'll keep the operational and financial backbone of TCC running across multiple companies. That means:

Financial operations. QuickBooks Desktop management, data entry, billing, invoicing, and accounts payable across all TCC business entities. Management depends on you for real-time financial visibility.

Payroll and HR. Onboarding new hires, processing payroll, and coordinating state and federal tax payments with our payroll processor.

Scheduling and coordination. Appointments, ranch task scheduling, and travel logistics (flights, hotels, rentals) for the sales team.

Records and compliance. Filing systems, cattle inventory tracking, and documentation for live cattle and beef product processes.

Office operations. Day-to-day communications, mail, phone, office supplies, and IT infrastructure.

Systems improvement. Identifying inefficiencies and building better processes. We want someone who makes the whole organization more nimble over time, not someone who just maintains the status quo.

Reporting. Weekly and monthly reports to the management team.

What We're Looking For

Required

· Experience with QuickBooks Desktop

· 4 to 6 years in an office manager or administrative manager role

· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. You set your own deadlines and hit them.

· Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

· Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly

· Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred

· Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting

· Experience building internal systems and SOPs

· Background in or genuine affinity for agriculture, ranching, or rural operations

Location and Schedule

This is an in-person position based at our office in Oreana, Idaho, approximately 45 minutes south of Nampa. Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 4:30 pm with a 30 minute lunch.

If you're not in the Treasure Valley or willing to drive, this role isn't the right fit. We're not set up for remote.
