Full Job Description

Injection Molding Technician

Location: Quintex Molding, LLC – Caldwell, IdahoJob Type: Full-Time - Night Shift

Join Our Growing Team

Quintex Molding, LLC is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to join our manufacturing team. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude who can safely perform mold changes, troubleshoot processing issues, and help maintain efficient production while producing high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

Perform mold changes safely and efficiently.
Set up and start injection molding machines.
Connect and verify water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical mold connections.
Optimize machine settings to maintain quality and production efficiency.
Troubleshoot molding defects and process-related issues.
Verify first-piece inspections and assist Quality with production approvals.
Monitor production runs and make process adjustments as necessary.
Perform preventive maintenance on molds and auxiliary equipment.
Complete setup documentation and production records accurately.
Support machine operators and provide technical assistance during production.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

Required

Minimum of 2 years of injection molding experience.
Experience performing mold changes and machine startups.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to read setup sheets, work instructions, and basic technical drawings.
Commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred

Experience with process optimization and cycle time improvement.
Knowledge of scientific molding principles.
Experience with hot runner systems.
Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
Familiarity with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment.
Basic computer skills for production reporting.

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
Work safely around industrial machinery.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
