Title: Day Porter
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Education: High School Diploma
This Day Porter position is responsible for making sure your building looks professional, clean, presentable and inviting at all times, but especially between routine cleaning and maintenance activities. A day porter will operate discreetly to ensure everything is taken care of to your standards and will not interfere with your company’s daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:
· Keep lobbies and entryways clean and free of all debris and trash, including trash cans/receptacles, dusting, sweeping, vacuum/mop, and spot cleaning walls and carpet.
· Inspect all common area bathrooms and keep clean, as applicable.
· Restock all common area bathroom supplies as necessary, as applicable.
· Clean interior and exterior ground floor windows, windowsills, and doors.
· Clean common areas including but not limited to kitchens, cafeterias, elevators, stairwells, and patios, as applicable.
· Clean high touch-point areas to reduce the spread of illness by eliminating bacteria and germs.
· Remove or warn of safety hazards, such as wet floors or other tripping hazards.
· Police exterior perimeter of building(s) and remove cigarette butts, cobwebs, trash and debris and ensure area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
· Police property to include trash, enclosures, walkways, and parking lots and remove trash, cigarette butts, cobwebs, soil, graffiti, and debris to ensure neat/tidy curb appeal.
· Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and/or inclement weather emergencies, fires, and/or floods.
· Perform minor maintenance, such as replacing burned out light bulbs.
· Promote customer satisfaction by interacting courteously and professionally with current and potential tenants at all times.
· Perform all assigned tasks via the work order system.
· Assist maintenance tech, as directed by supervisor.
· Position may consist of continual utilizing, lifting, and moving equipment and furniture.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends, and non-traditional holidays. May be required to be on-call and aid during staffing deficiencies on-site.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following required degrees, certificates or competencies:
· High School Diploma required.
· Possession of valid state issued Driver’s License and safe driving record, and insurance required.
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
· Background and drug test.
· May be required to use personal vehicle.
· Dependable and detailed-oriented.
· Autonomous/Independent – capable and enjoys working with little direction.
· Adaptable/Flexible with eagerness to learn and grow.
· Physical stamina.
· Friendly demeanor.
