Full Job Description

Holiday Inn & Suites and Burger Theory in Idaho Falls is seeking friendly, dependable, and service-focused Restaurant Servers to join our Food & Beverage team.

This is more than a traditional restaurant serving position. Our property is a full-service hotel featuring an on-site restaurant and bar as well as approximately 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space. In addition to regular restaurant service, servers are expected to assist with catered events, banquets, weddings, meetings, conferences, and other special functions as business needs require.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable transitioning between restaurant and banquet service while providing a welcoming and professional experience for every guest.

Essential Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specials, and beverage offerings.
Make appropriate food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
Monitor assigned tables and anticipate guest needs throughout their dining experience.
Process guest payments accurately and follow all cash-handling and payment procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas.
Complete opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements.
Work cooperatively with kitchen, bar, restaurant, hotel, and event staff to provide efficient service.
Assist with catered events and banquet functions held in the hotel's approximately 5,000-square-foot event space.
Assist with banquet setup, service, clearing, breakdown, and resetting of event spaces as assigned.
Follow event specifications and service instructions for weddings, meetings, conferences, parties, and other catered functions.
Perform additional duties as needed to support restaurant, banquet, and hotel operations.

What We're Looking For

Previous restaurant, banquet, or food-service experience preferred, but not required.
Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with a variety of guests.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
Must meet all applicable legal requirements for food handling and alcohol service.
Flexible availability is required. Restaurant and event schedules may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
