Full Job Description

Job Overview

Join the founding clinical team at Lake Harbor Behavioral Health! A new behavioral health and substance use treatment facility opening soon in Gurnee, IL.

We are seeking an experienced Program Therapist II to provide advanced clinical services including individual and group therapy, complex case management, and clinical leadership within the treatment team. This role is ideal for a fully licensed clinician ready to operate independently and help shape a new program from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy services within scope of licensure
Complete assessments, diagnosis (if applicable), treatment planning, and clinical documentation independently
Serve as lead clinician for assigned caseload and coordinate care, discharge planning, and aftercare services
Provide clinical consultation and guidance to interdisciplinary team members
Support crisis intervention and complex clinical decision-making
Collaborate with medical, nursing, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations
Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to program development and clinical improvement

Qualifications

Master’s degree in addiction studies or a related field such as psychology, counseling, social work, or mental health required
Active Illinois clinical license required: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, and/or PsyD
Strong experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment required
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex clinical cases
Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and treatment planning skills
