Assistant Manager, Nothing Bundt Cakes

Kildeer/Deer Park, IL.

Position Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to assist in managing a winning team.

Availability is needed for 5-6 days weekly with different shifts scheduled between 8 AM - 8 PM.

The Assistant Manager will be involved in coaching a team of employees to ensure the back and front of the house operations are running smoothly and efficient at all times. The person should take full accountability in maintaining an environment where there is a strong commitment to making genuine connections while focusing on providing the best service and highest quality products to our guests. We are looking for the spirit of a champion with a servant’s heart who is committed to going out of their way for others.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the daily operations of the bakery including the front and back of the house to include baking, utility, frosting and guest service representatives.
Open and close sales drawers.
Assist in producing and maintain employee scheduling.
Manage inventory for baking, frosting and crafting cakes.
Ensure bakery is clean and organized.
Resolve customer complaints, as needed.
Manage team performance up to franchise standards.
Consistently maintain the standards for our baked products and presentation of crafted cakes.
Maintain and assist in managing Nothing Bundt Cakes policies, procedures, uniform policy to consistently uphold brand standards.
Manage and maintain all wait times and service to consistently WOW the guest.
Leading by example when serving our guests to consistently demonstrate best practices for all employees.
Complete and review reports, as needed, to continually meet or exceed the bar on bakery performance.
Assist with all weekly marketing activities including researching and attending events.

Requirements:

Outgoing, upbeat and friendly demeanor.
1-3 years experience in retail/hospitality management.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (minimum 40 hours) and be available to work 5 days a week including Saturdays. Hours of operation are 9 AM - 7 PM.
Must be available to work overtime during peak Holiday times.
Strong sales ability.
Ability to lead and inspire a team. A strong team player.
Integrity and ethics is a must.
Has the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
Must be goal oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
