The Brewery Assistant will be responsible for assisting in brewery upkeep, inventory management, cleaning & maintenance of brewing facility and all associated equipment and supplies, and some record-keeping related to the foregoing. Duties will include, but will not be limited to, cleaning of kegs via a 2-head keg washer, weekly inventory of empty kegs both clean & dirty, monthly inventory of all Keg Logistics cooperage both empty and filled with beer for reporting, assisting on packaging days via wrapping pallets, help paktech and palletize beer, putting necessary beer in the cooler in pallet spots designated by brewery management, organizing and maintaining the package cooler, doing transfers of beer, raw materials, merchandise, equipment via a company van between our facilities, as well as occasional pickups of materials and other necessary pickups/deliveries, facility maintenance to ensure the brewery is of the highest quality and that the brewery is kept clean, functional, and up to More Brewing's standards at all times.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
- Cleaning kegs to make sure enough kegs are cleaned for upcoming packaging runs
- Weekly keg inventory
- Monthly inventory of ALL Keg Logistics cooperage (both empty/full) for reporting purposes
- Assisting in packaging days
- Wrapping/organizing packaging pallets/kegs for distribution pickup
- Organizing/maintaining package cooler/brewery floor with raw materials
- Transfers of good and equipment between our facilities multiple times a week
- Occasional pickups/deliveries of materials & equipment from partner facilities
- Learn & assist in kegging of product with our cellar team
- Participate in beer tasting panels.
- Occasionally represent More Brewing at various events, festivals and promotions. Promote good public relations and handle complaints and concerns.
- Label all kegs and other packaged product in accordance with federal and state law using appropriate keg collars, labels and date codes.
- Perform preventative maintenance on a weekly/monthly basis as required and follow all Cleaning & Maintenance Schedules.
- Assist staff with day to day tasks, problems and needs concerning equipment, supplies, etc.
- Troubleshoot and report all equipment problems, violations or substandard practices to the brewery management.
- Keep abreast of orders, inventory, availability, and events.
- Ensure the entire brewing facility including brewery, tanks, mill, counters, equipment, sinks, supplies, packaging line, shelving and storage areas are clean and comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards at all times. Make recommendations to supervisor for maintenance, repair and upkeep of facility and all equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Must have driver's license
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must possess a love for craft beer

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:
This position requires use of a keg washer, canner, forklift, manual pallet jack, electrical heating equipment, digital and analog scales, various brewing and lab equipment that is subject to change over time and handling pressurized gases
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position, the worker is exposed to inside environmental conditions, extreme heat, potential for physical injury, exposure to hot fluids, pressurized vessels and transfer lines, strong odors, chemicals, and moving machinery.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
