Full Job Description

Make a real difference in students’ lives as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment in the Lake In The Hills, IL area. Work in a dynamic educational setting with a supportive, interdisciplinary team to help children and adolescents find their voice—both literally and figuratively.

Ideal background for this position includes:

Valid SLP license in Illinois (or ability to obtain)
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
Experience or relevant clinical rotations in a school-based or pediatric environment
Understanding of IEP processes and best practices for documentation
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Organizational and time management abilities to handle diverse caseloads

Assess, diagnose, and provide direct intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders for students K-12
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) alongside educators, families, and other specialists
Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate communication supports in the classroom
Maintain thorough and timely session notes, progress reports, and student records in compliance with district and federal requirements
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute insights for student success
Offer supportive guidance to families regarding communication development and home-based strategies
Engage in professional development opportunities and mentorship as needed
