Full Job Description

Do you have an excellent attention to detail and a desire to provide a clean, safe space for our agency's program participants? Neighborhood House Association is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Maintenance Director to supervise and coordinate our maintenance and custodial activities.

About the Position –

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of supervisory experience
Ability to operate a motor vehicle with valid driver’s license
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact and work with diverse staff and community
Ability to maintain client, employee, and agency-wide confidentiality
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Interview, hire, train, and supervise maintenance and custodial personnel
Assist staff in cleaning the building/grounds and in maintenance projects
Oversee landscaping, lawn care, trash pick-up, and snow removal
Develop and maintain cleaning schedules for building and grounds
Complete all request on projects in a timely manner and maintain log of projects scheduled, pending, and completed
Manage inventory and order supplies necessary for cleanliness and safety
Uphold safety rules and regulations for custodial supplies and equipment usage
Prepare, implement, and document agency-wide fire and safety drills
Provide monthly custodial/maintenance report to Chief of Staff
Perform other duties as assigned
