Full Job Description

We are looking for a Full Charge Bookeeper to join our growing team! The position is responsible for the completion and maintenance of the company’s general ledger and financial reporting needs including, but not limited to financial statements, account reconciliations, and assisting with close and audit processes. This role is instrumental in maintaining the company’s principles, practices and procedures to ensure compliance and financial data integrity to mitigate risk.

Headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, Amerisun, Inc. is the North American distribution point and support center for PowerSmart outdoor power equipment. We offer a wide range of products, from snow throwers and lawn mowers, pressure washers, portable generators, and many other battery-powered products. Our greatest assets are our experienced, professional, and extremely knowledgeable staff, along with Amerisun’s tech-advanced and dependable Outdoor Power Equipment. Our products can be found at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Menards, Amazon and other retailers. With our sales growing each year, we are on target for greater expansion in the North American retail marketplace.

Responsibilities:

Process Accounts Payable invoices: ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Own Accounts Receivable process – including customer invoicing, payment application and reporting
Prepare accounts payable and bank reconciliations, maintain client and vendor database and files,reconcile credit cards and other accounts, prepare fixed asset reports, invoicing, etc.
Assist with preparing financial statements and related analysis for internal and external use; ensure that reporting is in line with and Corporate reporting guidelines.
Assist with monthly and quarterly closing functions including;

1.ensuring companies are closed in a timely manner

2.recording appropriate asset amortizations

3.recording appropriate accruals

4. maintaining intercompany balances & elimination entries

5.analyzing and reconciling general ledger balance sheet accounts

Analyze and invoice affiliated company related costs
Work with our IT to fix all problems on financial side
In addition to above duties, this position will be required to perform other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications for Staff Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent

Accounting: 1 year (Required)

Excellent mathematical, analytical and organizational skills

Must have advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office products

Skilled in math, accuracy, and precision

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize as needed

Strong organizations skills and detail-oriented

Highly motivated, self-starter

Solve problems and find ways to improve the processes

Bilingual (English and Chinese Mandarin) is a plus
