Full-Time General Dentist – Level 1 & Level 2 positions

Estimated Annual Earnings:$180,000 – $280,000+ (DOE)

NextGen Dental & Orthodontics in Wheeling, Illinois is seeking a skilled, patient-focused General Dentist to join our growing practice. We believe the foundation of an exceptional patient experience is an exceptional provider experience—and we’ve built our practice to support dentists clinically, professionally, and personally.

Our Wheeling office serves a diverse, loyal patient base and offers modern dentistry in a collaborative, supportive environment with strong staff, efficient systems, and ethical treatment planning.

Dentist Position Levels & Compensation

Level 1 Dentist – Developing / Early-Career

Designed for dentists building speed, confidence, and comprehensive skills.

Daily Minimum Guarantee: $650/day
Opportunity to earn above guarantee based on production
Mentorship and structured support
Ideal for newer graduates or dentists with limited post-graduate experience
Build speed and knowledge while having a team of dentists mentoring you on cases
At this level you should be comfortable with Bread a Butter skillset
Expect to operate in 40-60 minutes (8-10 patients per day + 8-10 hygiene patients)

Level 2 Dentist – Experienced / High-Performing

For confident, efficient clinicians capable of managing a full schedule.

Daily Minimum Guarantee: $800/day
Strong earning upside based on production/collections
Greater clinical autonomy
Ideal for dentists with proven efficiency and comprehensive treatment planning skills
At this level should be easy to do basic dentistry and is comfortable with at least some dental specialties
Can perform some or all: anterior/premolar RCT, surgical extractions, bone grafting, fixed/removable prosthodontics.
Expect to see patients every 30-40 minutes (10 or more patients per day + hygiene)
Level placement is determined based on experience, skillset, and interview evaluation.

Estimated annual earnings: $180K–$280K+
Full-time preferred; part-time considered
Monday–Friday schedule with some Saturdays (limit 5 /days per week)

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive general dentistry, including exams, restorative care, and treatment planning
Diagnose oral conditions and educate patients on oral health
Perform procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and other general dentistry services
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Collaborate positively with hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff
Uphold all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Active Illinois dental license in good standing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Preferred but not required:

Experience with comprehensive treatment planning
Interest in long-term growth within a practice
Multilingual
