Lola + The Boys is a premium children's fashion brand founded in Chicago in 2016. We're known for bold graphics, vibrant prints, sequins, and statement pieces built on a simple idea: every day deserves a little sparkle. Today we serve over 1 million customers worldwide, operate a 50,000 sq ft headquarters and distribution center, and partner with brands like Barbie, Hello Kitty, MLB, WICKED, and Care Bears. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we're expanding beyond our six current stores into new markets across the country.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Retail Expansion Lead to own the next phase of our store growth. You'll identify markets, secure locations, and bring new stores to life — from first data pull to opening day. This is a builder's role for someone who wants to grow alongside the company and put their fingerprints on where the brand shows up next.

What You'll Do

Identify and evaluate new markets using customer data, demographics, and sales performance
Lead site selection: tour properties, assess trade areas, and build the business case for each location
Negotiate leases and manage relationships with landlords, brokers, and mall operators
Build out opening timelines, budgets, and pro formas for each new store
Manage the growth and performance of our store portfolio, reporting directly to the leadership team on progress, pipeline, and results
Coordinate across merchandising, operations, marketing, and staffing to get stores open on schedule
Track post-opening performance and refine the expansion playbook as we scale
Create repeatable processes so each opening is faster and smoother than the last

What We're Looking For

Retail management experience is required
Experience in retail expansion, commercial real estate, or multi-unit retail operations
A track record of opening successful physical locations
Comfort with data — you can look at market and sales numbers and form a point of view
Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to advocate for the brand at the table
Self-directed and entrepreneurial; you're comfortable building something that doesn't exist yet
Willingness to travel for market tours and store openings
Genuine interest in the brand, retail, and children's fashion
