Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Pressman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in printing processes, Sheetfed/Litho experience and/or multi-color sheet fed press. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent color management skills, and will be responsible for producing high-quality printed materials while ensuring adherence to quality control standards.

Duties

Will be responsible for assisting in safe, efficient, and economical press make ready, operation, wash-up and maintenance.
Must be able to pay attention to and promote press crew safety and pressroom cleanliness.
Must be able to examine press sheets on the fly for normal and special variation including: Scumming, Hickeys, Markings, Tinting, Slurring, Linting, Piling, Emulsification, Picking, Excessive Spray Powder, Coating distribution, register bounce, and Smashes in blankets.

Qualifications

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly and efficiently assist in the make ready of the press.
Inspection paper to assure conformance to specified requirements.
Must be able to inspect plates.
Able to set up rollers for correct pressure.
Able to hang plates in printing units and set proper tension
Able to gum plates thoroughly so they run up easily when used again.
Demonstrate the ability to perform preventative maintenance including: lubrication, roller inspection, and deglazing, new blanket preparation, clean water tanks, and able to make roller changes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
