Onsite in Aurora, IL (Relocation is not offered; local applicants only)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to support and coordinate multiple seismic design projects for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical construction. In this role, you will facilitate the flow of engineering deliverables for seismic bracing delegated designs on commercial construction projects. Key responsibilities include administering submittals, tracking the engineering design process, and closely collaborating with sales teams, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has strong foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, a solid understanding of construction workflow, and excellent organizational skills. Success in this role requires a collaborative approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for keeping projects running smoothly on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Tracking: Track project progress to ensure engineering deliverables and materials are moving through the pipeline to meet timeline, scope, and schedule requirements.
Project Administration: Process subcontracts, purchase orders, invoices, and material releases in a timely manner.
Document Management: Maintain, organize, and review relevant project documentation, including construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedule of values.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate closely between internal sales teams, vendors, clients, field crews, distributors, subcontractors, and engineers to facilitate flawless project execution.
Reporting: Compile information to generate project status reports, milestone tracking, and other managerial metrics as required.
Technical Assistance: Obtain deep Gripple Seismic product knowledge to provide foundational technical and coordination support to clients and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For:

Degree in construction management, project management, or a minimum of 0-2 years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, or a similar project support role.
Proficient in reading, interpreting, and navigating commercial construction drawings and architectural/MEP specifications.
Strong understanding of standard construction methods, materials, and workflows.
Highly skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word) and cloud-based project management tools.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Customer-focused, highly collaborative, and adaptable.
Demonstrated proficiency in tracking multiple moving parts across several tasks simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.

Compensation and Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Not a remote position)
Pay: %60,000 - $65,000 per year
