Energy Diagnostics is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated, reliable individual to join our team as a Home Energy Rater. Whether you have experience in construction or are looking to start a new career path, we’re willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Energy Rater, you’ll play a key role in improving the efficiency and performance of newly constructed homes across Illinois.

Conduct onsite energy testing and inspections on new homes
Perform blower door and duct leakage testing
Analyze home performance using specialized software
Work closely with builders, contractors, and project managers
Help ensure homes meet energy codes and performance standards
Provide insights that help improve construction quality and efficiency

Physically Capable – Comfortable climbing ladders, working on job sites, and lifting equipment
Adaptable – Able to work in varying weather and construction environments

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
Willingness to travel to job sites across Illinois
Ability to travel to our Valparaiso, Indiana office for training and occasional meetings
