Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Union Assistant Engineer and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the operational efficiency of industrial facilities. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and boiler equipment. As a key contributor to our maintenance and field service operations, you will ensure the reliable performance of essential machinery while delivering exceptional customer service. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about industrial maintenance, this role is your chance to make a meaningful impact!

This is a 2nd shift role, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime, as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, boilers, and other mechanical equipment.
Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and perform repairs.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Support field service operations by responding promptly to maintenance requests at various industrial sites.
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop maintenance schedules and improve system reliability.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and ensuring their operational needs are met efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience in industrial mechanic work, maintenance, or field service roles within industrial settings.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in hydraulics, HVAC systems, boilers, and schematics interpretation.
Hands-on experience working with HVAC/R equipment, boiler systems, and hydraulic machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues quickly and accurately.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures related to mechanical maintenance.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
