Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

Finance Department – Accounts Division
Location: 414 E. 12th St
Salary Range: $5,910-9,010 per month

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. *Telework available after 6 month probationary period
Application Deadline: June 11, 2026

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

Resolve help desk tickets and respond to end-user emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
Conduct end-user training classes and update training manuals as needed.
Serve as the Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Contracts, and Security modules lead for the City’s ERP system.
Work with IT technical analysts to analyze and resolve system issues; conduct business testing of modules during upgrades and resolve issues that arise.
Assist with special projects such as eBuilder integration, system upgrades, and maintenance pack testing to support system reliability and growth.
Modify and develop reports and queries for end users across all departments.
Maintain functional security for the ERP system, including an efficient database of users, roles, and routings.
Perform the Purchase Order (PO) roll-forward for all departments with qualified POs at fiscal year-end.
Serve as backup administrator for the Accounts Payable (AP) module to maintain continuity of operations.
Design and develop ad-hoc ERP data queries to support financial reporting and monitor successful integration with HR Payroll, General Ledger, Asset Management, Purchasing, Project Costing, and related modules.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

End users receive timely, accurate support and report improved confidence using the ERP system.
ERP modules are stable, secure, and functioning correctly during upgrades and integrations.
Financial and operational reports are accurate, accessible, and trusted by departments.
Fiscal year-end processes, including PO roll-forward, are completed accurately and on schedule.
System security roles and access are well-maintained with minimal audit findings.

What you’ll bring

Hands-on experience supporting or administering an ERP system, especially financial or procurement modules.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical issues into clear, user-friendly solutions.
Experience creating reports, queries, or ad-hoc data extracts for business users.
Comfort working with cross-functional teams, including IT and finance.
Clear communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

REQUIRES:

An accredited Master's in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, organizational/development psychology, project management, geography and 1 year (OR an accredited Bachelor's and 3 years) of professional experience in corporate/municipal finance, research, accounting planning, project/program management, or geographical information systems analytics.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
