Full Job Description

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Days worked: Monday through Friday, some Sundays

Hours: 5 am until 3 pm

Salary: $85k plus bonuses

***To be successful in this position you must have PC skills, especially Excel, and other MS Office products, be a hands-on engaged manager, motivator and mentor and hold associates accountable.***

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations and oversee a high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with at least 3 years of progressive management experience in warehousing, distribution, transportation, or logistics. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient operations while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Strong computer proficiency, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Reliable transportation required.
Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the work location.
Lead daily warehouse operations with a focus on safety, productivity, and efficiency.
Communicate regularly with warehouse associates regarding performance, accountability, service expectations, and payroll-related matters.
Prepare and submit daily operational reports.
Audit daily labor and billing reports for accuracy.
Ensure customer requirements and service expectations are consistently met.
Investigate and resolve customer and employee concerns in a timely manner.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Conduct weekly safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
Assist with managing site and departmental budgets.
Schedule labor based on customer demand and operational needs.
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train warehouse associates.
Ensure timely and accurate data entry for all warehouse services performed.
Complete daily administrative closeout activities, including payroll administration, cash balancing (where applicable), and operational reporting.

Qualifications

Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as business needs require.
Minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop warehouse associates.
Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
Experience managing budgets, interpreting profit and loss (P&L) statements, and preparing operational reports.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.

Education & Experience

Experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or third-party logistics (3PL) preferred.
Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and managing warehouse personnel.
Demonstrated success delivering high levels of service to both internal and external customers.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and on concrete flooring.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
