Overview:
Royal Excursion, a locally owned and operated transportation company established in 1998, is seeking a dedicated Van Driver to join our team. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional transportation services, we are looking for a reliable individual to operate our fleet of vehicles with a focus on safety, customer service, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vans to transport passengers for various private and group charter services.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, securing belongings, and ensuring a comfortable journey.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company regulations while driving.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch to coordinate pick-up and drop-off locations efficiently.
- Handle heavy lifting when loading and unloading passenger belongings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be 25 years of age to apply.
- Previous experience in commercial driving, van driving, shuttle driving, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of paratransit or school bus driving is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with passengers.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions and assistance to passengers.
- Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks when required during passenger boarding.
- Familiarity with limousine or commercial driving operations is advantageous.
Requirements to apply - For the past three years:
- Have not had a driver's license canceled or suspended under Indiana Statutes, (or other state Equal)
- Have a driving record clear of convictions for operating a motor vehicle or motorcycle without insurance as required by Indiana Statutes (or other state Equal)
- Have a driving record clear of convictions for driving a motor vehicle without a valid current license for the class of vehicle driven; and
- Have a driving and criminal record clear of convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance under Indiana Statutes (or other state Equal)

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
