Full Job Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and generating a production schedule which includes production quantities by item and estimated production dates to meet company forecast. Liaison between production and supporting departments in order to create effective workflow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: include the following:include the following:

· Creates weekly, biweekly, and monthly production schedules for finished goods and bulk lotion.

· Communicates weekly, biweekly, and monthly production schedules for finished goods and bulk lotion.

· Updates and manages Power BI Production report based on product availability

· Provides prioritization of production based on available inventory compared to future monthly forecasts and sales volume.

· Works with Purchasing, Mixing and Production departments to identify component and raw material shortages in order to minimize disruption to production.

· Communicates potential inventory shortages based on upcoming production schedule.

· Identifies slow moving component and raw material inventory or excess inventory and communicates to Purchasing, Marketing and R&D departments.

· Review finished good and bulk lotion production order quantities to determine needed adjustments based on current inventory levels compared to the future forecast.

· Participates in preparation for annual ISO audit and all 3rd party external manufacturing audits.

· Requests inventory to be pulled from offsite facilities to support production requirements.

· Provides back-up support to Assistant Plant Managers and working knowledge of production floor.

· Enters production orders for items produced in house (bottles, tubes, sample packs, jugs, ampoules, bulk lotion, and pilot sales samples) as well as internal kitting, back labeling, bundle packs, and display orders.

· Attends and participates in departmental meetings.

· Attends and participates in cross-departmental meetings.

· Reviews product specification sheets for completeness. Follow up with respective departments to address missing information or incorrect information.

· Lead process improvement projects as identified and requested by Plant Manager or CEO.

· Communicates essential information to employees within department and/or other departments in the company.

· Additional tasks or responsibilities requested or required for continuous growth within the current position or growth to a new position.

· This position is responsible for following all documented cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, and Policies designed to support the development, implementation, and control of the ISO 22716:2007 standard.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have an understanding and experience with MRP purchasing systems.

Strong excel skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
