ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are representative duties and responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Following the training period, support the full product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization for all New Sunshine products.
- Assist in managing product development projects, timelines, and cross-functional partnerships to ensure key milestones, launch dates, and deliverables are achieved.
- Support the maintenance and optimization of existing product lines while ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in product strategy development, research initiatives, and execution of short- and long-range brand plans that support corporate objectives.
- Develop a thorough understanding of product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies to meet retailer expectations and company profitability goals.
- Prepare detailed development briefs for Research & Development and Creative teams, clearly communicating product requirements including design, texture, fragrance, componentry, usage, technologies, positioning, and product claims.
Market Research & Business Analysis
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape through market research, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
- Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to identify market opportunities and mitigate competitive risks.
- Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to recommend adjustments to brand and product strategies based on market insights.
- Stay informed on global regulatory requirements, industry trends, and sustainability initiatives to support compliant and innovative product development.
Product Information & Documentation Management
- Create, maintain, and organize critical product documentation including product specification sheets, bills of materials, component documentation, cost sheets, and project trackers.
- Coordinate information flow related to Microsoft Dynamics 365, including new item setup, item number assignments, and discontinued products.
Packaging, Artwork & Compliance
- Manage the creation, review, approval, compliance, and printing processes for product artwork and packaging.
- Maintain artwork tracking systems to monitor revisions, approvals, and project status.
- Support the Purchasing team with label reorder processes and packaging-related updates.
- Approve production runs for assigned product lines in accordance with established warehouse procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support product development and brand initiatives.
- Communicate critical project updates and business information across the department and organization.
- Foster strong working relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and customer service.
Brand Management & Facility Support
- Maintain showroom displays throughout company facilities, ensuring products, marketing materials, and merchandising displays are current, accurate, and representative of brand standards.
- Support initiatives that strengthen brand consistency and presentation across all touchpoints.
Professionalism & Leadership
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive product, brand, and business information.
- Demonstrate adaptability and thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing business and customer needs.
- Exhibit strong public speaking, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence through proactive problem-solving and leadership.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: word, excel, power point, outlook, adobe, etc.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
