Full Job Description

Description:

Mountain View Golf Club is dedicated to delivering exceptional member experiences through outstanding culinary offerings. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team, oversee all kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of quality, service, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of the culinary operation, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation
Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and development of all Culinary staff, including, Sous Chefs, Cooks, Dishwasher.
Oversee member events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional dining experiences
Serve as a visible and engaging presence during service hours and events.
Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and optimize inventory to meet financial targets
Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with club management to plan special events and seasonal menus
Collaborate with the General Manager and Club Manager on menu planning, food presentation, seasonal updates, and member dining feedback.
Monitor and improve kitchen workflows, ensuring efficiency and quality
Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the club’s offerings
Participate in leadership meetings and provide regular updates to the General Manager and Board as needed.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

Progressive culinary experience of at least 10 years, with a background as a Sous Chef or 3 years in an Executive Chef role.
Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and develop future leaders.
Proven experience managing budgets, inventory, and controlling costs
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Hands-on work ethic with a passion for culinary excellence
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, member-focused environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
