Job Summary:
As an Optometric Technician in our bustling optometry office, you will play a crucial role in assisting our optometrists and providing exceptional care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting pre-examination tests, administering diagnostic tests, and ensuring a smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. Responsibilities:

Greeting patients warmly and professionally, making them feel welcome and comfortable.

Gathering and recording patient medical history and relevant information.

Conducting preliminary eye screenings, visual acuity tests, and tonometry measurements.

Performing advanced diagnostic tests such as visual field testing and retinal imaging.

Assisting optometrists during comprehensive eye exams and various procedures.

Educating patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and proper care.

Providing assistance in frame selection and fitting of eyeglasses.

Handling contact lens trials and ordering lenses as needed.

Maintaining and calibrating optometric equipment regularly.

Ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked examination room.

Following all HIPAA and privacy regulations to protect patient information.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in optometry will be a plus.

Proven experience as an Optometric Technician or similar role in an optometry/ophthalmology setting.

Proficiency in performing optometric tests and utilizing relevant equipment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and colleagues effectively.
