Job Overview

You will learn essential skills in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair while gaining a solid understanding of building codes, safety protocols, and technical drawings. Duties

Assist experienced plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and system maintenance on construction sites
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building plans to support accurate plumbing work
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively
Support the installation and repair of plumbing systems following building code compliance standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper power tool safety procedures
Participate in remodeling projects by installing new plumbing fixtures and systems as directed
Help with routine plumbing system maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation

Requirements

Construction experience or background in construction plumbing preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, pipe threading, and plumbing principles
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and pipe installation methods
Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites, including power tool safety practices
Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately
Good basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding specifications
Excellent customer service attitude when interacting with team members or clients during project support
Commitment to building code compliance standards and safety regulations at all times
Willingness to learn remodeling techniques and assist with general construction site tasks
