Sweet Grass Farms is an equine-focused business based in Campobello, South Carolina, serving customers locally and across a broader regional and national market.

We are known for our commitment to quality, thoughtful customer guidance, and nutritionally tested hay, along with carefully selected equine nutrition, stable, farm, and lifestyle products.

We are a growing business focused on providing knowledgeable service, maintaining strong systems, and building long-term relationships within the equestrian community.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Equine Store Operations Associate to help keep the day-to-day operations of our store running smoothly.

This is a customer-facing role that combines store service with administrative and systems-based work. You will assist customers, process orders and payments, maintain accurate records, receive inventory, update digital systems, and help ensure important information and documentation stay organized and current.

Because much of our management team works remotely, strong communication, independence, and follow-through are especially important.

Key ResponsibilitiesStore & Customer Service

Assist customers with purchases, orders, and general product questions.
Process sales and customer orders through the POS system.
Respond to phone calls, messages, emails, and customer inquiries.
Follow up with customers regarding orders, deliveries, and other requests.
Handle customer payments, including cash and checks.
Prepare store deposits as needed.
Support day-to-day store operations, including opening or closing responsibilities when scheduled.

Orders & Operations

Enter and maintain customer orders, invoices, delivery information, and related records.
Prepare invoices and delivery documentation.
Process website orders, including packaging and shipping.
Identify missing or incomplete information and follow up as needed.
Communicate with customers, delivery drivers, warehouse staff, vendors, and management.

Inventory & Receiving

Receive incoming inventory and document it in the appropriate systems.
Maintain required documentation for vendor shipments and truck or freight deliveries.
Complete weekly store inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.

Shopify, Systems & Documentation

Update product information, pricing, photos, inventory, and other details in Shopify.
Upload and organize product photos and business documents in Google Drive.
Maintain accurate information across business systems and shared files.
Keep digital records and files organized and current.

What We’re Looking For

Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software and systems.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Ability to maintain accurate information across multiple systems and ongoing tasks.
Experience with customer databases or CRM systems, spreadsheets, Google Workspace, POS systems, or similar business software is helpful.
Strong people skills and clear, professional communication.
Able to work independently while keeping a primarily remote management team informed.
Comfortable shifting between customer service, administrative work, and hands-on store tasks.
Reliable and committed to consistent attendance.
Interested in a long-term position and growing with the business.
Responsible and willing to ask questions when needed.

Knowledge or familiarity with horses, hay, equine nutrition, or the equine industry is a plus, but not required. Training on our products and processes will be provided.

Schedule

Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday.

Compensation

$18–$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
