Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Personal Care Aide, where your compassionate support and hands-on assistance make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. In this vital role, you will provide direct support with daily living activities, monitor health and safety, and foster a warm, respectful environment for residents. Your energetic and attentive approach will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for those in your care. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
Monitor client's health by observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to supervisors promptly.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
Support medication administration following Stat of California guidelines and care plans established by your supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met.
Provide emotional support through active communication, companionship, and engagement in social activities to enhance residents’ quality of life.
Assist with transportation for appointments or outings using client's personal vehicle only, ensuring safety at all times.

Experience

Prior experience working in personal care is desired but not required.
Demonstrated ability to observe clients closely and document changes accurately.
Experience with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, is desired but not required.
CPR certification is required.
Current California registration is desired but not required.
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team.
