Activities Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Director to coordinate and oversee engaging activities for tenants. This role involves planning, organizing, and leading a variety of recreational and social programs designed to enhance the quality of life for tenants. The Activities Director will serve as a key facilitator of community engagement, fostering a welcoming and vibrant environment.

Duties

Develop, implement, and manage a diverse calendar of activities tailored to tenants’ interests and needs.
Coordinate transportation for activities, including driving a 14-passenger van; a valid van license is required, but training can be provided on the job.
Lead and facilitate group activities, events, and outings to promote social interaction and community involvement.
Collaborate with tenants to identify preferred activities and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
Maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-organized and available for use.
Promote upcoming events through various communication channels to maximize participation.
Foster positive relationships with tenants, staff, and community partners to support program success.

Requirements

Valid 14-passenger van license; training available on the job for those without prior experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse groups.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in planning activities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Prior experience in activity planning or community engagement is preferred but not mandatory.
A positive attitude, creativity, and enthusiasm for enhancing tenant experiences.
Flexibility to adapt activities based on tenant feedback and changing needs.
