Full Job Description

Holy Trinity Catholic Schools in Fort Madison, Iowa is seeking an Office Assistant for our 6-12 building. This person will greet visitors, manage building access, answer phones, and perform clerical duties when needed.

Position Detail:

Greets visitors both in-person and over the phone professionally and courteously, taking accurate messages when required.
Arranges for substitute teachers when faculty members cannot be present.
Photocopies submitted materials on a regular basis.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on office copier; arranging for repairs when necessary.
Contributes to team effort by performing tasks as needed.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Helps maintain accurate attendance records via PowerSchool SMS system.
Creates lists and reports from PowerSchool SMS system.
Issues daily announcements.

Non-essential Job Duties:

Distribute mail to faculty mailboxes.
Contact parents regarding student needs.
Maintain supplies inventory, anticipating needed supplies, and placing orders for supplies.
Delivers notes to students faculty as needed.
Maintains athletic and club sign ups, as needed.
Oversees sign-in/sign-out process for students and visitors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to type quickly and accurately.
Microsoft Office competency (Esp. Word, Excel)
Google Applications (calendar, docs, sheets, email)
Maintains confidentiality and professionalism both in and out of the office.
Uses initiative to solve problems that arise in the office.
Is adaptable and flexible in the face of new situations.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
