Director of AI & Automation
Company: Campbell Street
Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Remote-Based)
Travel: Regular travel to Campbell Street communities and corporate meetings as needed
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Position Summary
Healthcare is notoriously antiquated in terms of technological innovation. Seniors healthcare, as a subset to the industry is even worse. As an mission-oriented operator within the seniors healthcare industry, Campbell Street is on a mission to become one of the first AI-native organizations in the industry.
We believe artificial intelligence and automation will fundamentally reshape how organizations operate over the next decade. Our goal is not simply to adopt new technology—we aim to transform how work gets done by reducing administrative burden, and empowering our teams to focus on the work that matters most – interacting and taking care of our people.
To help lead this transformation, we are creating a new role: Director of AI & Automation.
This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up. The Director of AI & Automation will be responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, and scaling AI and automation solutions across the enterprise. Working closely with executive leadership and operational teams, this individual will help redefine workflows, improve business processes, and unlock measurable value through practical applications of artificial intelligence and automation. Our list of projects is already growing. We need someone to prioritize and execute!
Success in this role will be measured not by technology implementations alone, but by getting hours back into our team members hands to do the human work that actually drives value – building and maintaining relationships, strategy development and execution and complex problem solving.
This position is not responsible for traditional IT infrastructure, help desk support, network administration, or hardware management (we have a subsidiary that does that). Instead, this role is focused on transforming how Campbell Street operates in a very administratively burdensome industry. We are looking for a builder and entrepreneur.
Why This Role Matters
