Position Description:
Join a Dynamic Team of Nurse-Midwives at the University of Iowa

The University of Iowa’s Nurse-Midwifery Division, housed within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join our growing faculty on the non-tenure clinical track.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.

Education Requirement:
Master's degree. If master's degree is not in nursing, a baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum two years of experience as a practicing midwife

Active RN/ARNP license from the Iowa Board of Nursing (required prior to hire)

Strong inpatient and outpatient clinical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Commitment to teaching and mentoring in an academic setting

Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, evening clinics, and off-site care

Certifications:
Board certification through AMCB

Desirable Qualifications:
EPIC proficiency and interest in group prenatal care are highly desirable
