Biostatistician - AI Trainer

Job Summary

In this role, you'll apply your biostatistics expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.

No prior experience in AI is required—your expertise in clinical statistics is what matters most.

You'll contribute to the development of AI systems by evaluating statistical analyses, validating clinical trial outputs, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of regulatory clinical data.

Key Responsibilities

Author and review evaluation tasks requiring the derivation, reproduction, or validation of statistical outputs from clinical datasets and associated tables, figures, and listings (TFLs).
Assess the correctness and consistency of reported estimates, confidence intervals, p-values, analysis populations, and missing data handling in accordance with the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP).
Identify discrepancies between statistical outputs and their narrative descriptions in Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), including issues related to population definitions, censoring rules, and multiplicity handling.
Establish defensible ground truth for evaluation tasks by documenting statistical derivation processes for independent verification.
Provide structured, evidence-based written rationales that distinguish statistical errors from acceptable methodological alternatives.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide statistical expertise and improve AI evaluation frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a biostatistician supporting clinical trials at a pharmaceutical sponsor, CRO, or academic clinical trials unit.
Hands-on experience producing or quality-controlling TFLs for regulatory submissions using CDISC SDTM/ADaM datasets.
Strong knowledge of statistical methods used in confirmatory clinical trials, including survival analysis, mixed models, covariate adjustment, multiplicity control, estimands, and missing data strategies under ICH E9(R1).
Proficiency in SAS and/or R with the ability to independently reproduce analyses from written specifications.
Experience interpreting Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and verifying that reported results align with pre-specified analyses.
Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience serving as lead statistician on pivotal or registrational clinical studies.
Experience authoring or reviewing statistical sections of Clinical Study Reports (CSRs).
Oncology clinical trial experience and familiarity with oncology endpoints.
Familiarity with AI-assisted statistical review or clinical data analysis tools.
