Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and organized backbone of our clinic. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences. You will handle patient intake, manage electronic health records, assist with medical documentation, and coordinate appointment scheduling—all while maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes health and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us deliver top-tier care and foster lasting patient relationships.

Duties

Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Manage patient records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing tasks related to insurance claims including Medicare and health insurance knowledge
Review medical documentation for completeness and accuracy, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and care plan documentation
Assist clinicians with administrative support such as preparing treatment rooms, updating medical records, and managing clinical paperwork
Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, providing excellent customer service to patients and providers alike

Skills

Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in electronic health records management is essential
Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance processes including Medicare procedures
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite for documentation review and administrative tasks
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Prior clinic or medical office experience with a focus on front desk operations and patient service excellence
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure patient privacy at all times
Exceptional organizational skills for filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records efficiently
Outstanding communication skills for engaging with patients over the phone and in person while demonstrating professionalism and empathy
