Full Job Description

Test Engineer (Temporary)

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay: Up to $38/hour

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer for a long-term contract role supporting advanced connected vehicle systems. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in software testing, mobile/Web applications, and system validation in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end testing of telematics systems across vehicle, mobile app, and web platforms
Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures
Generate vehicle data through road testing and system activation scenarios
Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
Write detailed test reports and provide recommendations for system improvements
Utilize developer tools and testing applications to improve efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and report testing progress

Qualifications

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Experience with manual and black-box testing (web and mobile)
Knowledge of HTML, TCP/IP, and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Proficiency with browser developer tools and bug tracking systems
Experience installing and testing apps on Android and iOS devices
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, and command-line tools
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to work indoors/outdoors and lift up to 30 lbs
