Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Senior Specialist supports higher-level accounting operations by maintaining court cost-based financial records, processing business transactions, performing reconciliations, monitoring vendor activity, and supporting client remittance and reporting requirements. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, independent judgment, and the ability to manage deadlines with accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Update and maintain client accounting records, transaction records, invoices, receipts and payment documentation.
Assist with daily client remittance procedures, wire transfer support and resolution of routine client accounting inquiries.
Process vendor-based court cost postings for all applicable states and ensure transaction accuracy.
Reconcile e-filing transactions, credit card activity, ledger accounts, and supporting documentation.
Prepare monthly reconciliation reporting required by clients and internal stakeholders.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, exceptions, and reconciliation variances.
Assist with month-end close support, audit requests, and documentation of accounting procedures.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting controls, client requirements, and applicable law.
Support Accounting leadership with special projects, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proven accounting experience with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word; accounting software experience required, QuickBooks or similar system preferred.
Experience preparing, reviewing, and reconciling financial reports and transaction records.
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
