About us

AI Medical Science (AI MedSci) is the U.S. company of MedSci Healthcare Group, a healthcare group listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. We support pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies with medical writing and publications, real-world evidence, biostatistics, clinical research support, and access to the China market.

The role

You open doors. You find the right people at the right companies, start the conversation, work out whether there is a real need behind it, and get a proposal in front of them.

This is not a "book the meeting and hand it off" job. You stay with the opportunity through discovery and proposal delivery, with our medical and business teams building the content and setting the pricing. Negotiation and contract terms sit with the Business Development Manager, so you can focus on volume and momentum.

Who you will be reaching

Medical Affairs — Medical Directors, MSL leadership, Medical Communications
Clinical Development and Clinical Operations
HEOR and Real-World Evidence
Regulatory and Medical Writing

What you will do

Build target account lists across Southern California's medical device and biopharma cluster
Reach out by phone, email, and LinkedIn to the teams above
Run early discovery — what they actually need, who owns the budget, when it gets funded
Deliver proposals and quotes prepared with our internal team
Follow up until there is a decision, one way or the other
Keep accounts, contacts, and next steps accurate in CRM
Join the team at local industry events and conferences

What we are looking for

0–3 years in sales development, inside sales, recruiting, or another outreach-heavy role — or a science or healthcare background and a real interest in commercial work
Comfortable calling someone you have never met
Clear written English. You will be sending proposals to scientific audiences.
Organized and persistent. Follow-up discipline matters more here than natural charisma.
Interest in healthcare, life sciences, or medical research; coursework or a science degree is a plus
Able to attend occasional in-person industry events in Southern California

Compensation

$68,000 – $75,000 base salary, depending on experience
Monthly bonus tied to qualified meetings and proposals delivered — roughly $13,000 – $17,000 in year one at target
On-target total compensation of $81,000 – $92,000
Mileage reimbursed for local travel
Paid time off. Additional benefits will be added as the U.S. team grows.
