Full Job Description

SUMMARY:

Deposit Operations Clerks are responsible for several basic but critical functions within the department including account maintenance tasks such as application of stop pays, ACH transfer requests, temporary debit card limit increases, etc; courteous and professional customer phone support; upkeep of customer records via scanning/indexing documents to the core processing system as needed, etc. Exhibits strong understanding of the banking regulations and policies which dictate our procedures, including adherence to strict confidentiality and security guidelines. Represents the bank in attending civic and community functions. Available to work Monday through Saturday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provide proactive, courteous and professional service to customers by phone, including by serving as switchboard operator when necessary as well as troubleshooting account questions
Perform and document deposit account maintenance requests including:

o Application and maintenance of stop payments

o Application and maintenance of automatic ACH transfer requests

o Order of new/replacement debit cards for existing accounts

o Temporary debit card limit increases

o Monitoring of returned mail

o Change of address/other customer information

Perform customer support for online banking, including troubleshoot log in issues and answering basic questions
May assist in tracking incoming mail items
Logs returned mail and takes appropriate steps to maintain accurate addresses for customers
Sends and documents AOD communication
Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
Assist in special projects as necessary
Reliable and predictable attendance and punctuality
Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to change and deadline
Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor
Take initiative to learn independently where possible
Exhibit teamwork, and may proactively assist with tasks outside the scope of the role where appropriate to facilitate smooth office operation
Promote Citizens Guaranty Bank within the community by participating in community organizations and special events
Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Customer service etiquette
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of banking products and services
Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to make reliable decisions on demand in accordance with procedures
Ability to use good judgement to weigh and appropriately prioritize customer satisfaction with exposure to loss and/or fraud
Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Regulation E and others, and how those regulations impact this role

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED required
Experience providing office support, or experience in a financial institution preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works weekdays and some Saturdays
May occasionally travel to attend conferences or trainings, or fill in at other branches in the market upon request
Typical work setting will be in an office/cubicle
Role may require moving frequently between sitting, standing and kneeling
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
